So as we get near to Christmas 2009 their is a shortage of toy hamsters or better known as zhu zhu hamsters in the states and go go hamsters in the UK.

This shortage has caused many parents to be furious with some big retailers for hiking the price. As a Dad myself I can fully understand this situation, but sadly it comes down to supply and demand.

The problem does not seem so bad in the USA as it is in the UK  at the moment.

The company we recommend is amazon, but I have to say right up front they are not the cheapest at the moment, however they may be the most reliable source for a toy hamster this christmas.

So the sad fact is with all things in life, you will have to look at your budget as well as how much your children want their zhu zhu toy hamster and make a decision based on that crietiria.
